Hi, I’m Sam, a Youth Worker at the Horbury Breakthrough Youth Project.
I’ve worked in a range of roles before joining, including lifeguarding, running workshops and even being a miniature train driver!
However, what gets me out of bed in the morning is knowing that I can be of help to others who need it.
I’d describe myself as someone who is passionate, a good listener and loves a laugh. One of the greatest feelings is seeing someone come out of their shell to overcome challenges they once struggled to overcome. I aim to cultivate an environment where people feel they can freely express themselves and become the person they want to be.
I’ve lived in West Yorkshire nearly all my life but I've spent some time in Sheffield and London. My most recent hobby is knitting but you'll have to ask my Mum for any advice as she's the one who taught me! In my free time, I love to draw, listen to music and box. If I had unlimited money then i'd travel the world and make art based on obscure historical stories. If you want to chat music then I'm your guy!
