Alisa's Profile
Hi, I’m Alisa The Administrator for The Horbury Breakthrough Youth Project.
Previously I worked for West Yorkshire Police as a Resourcing Assistant and a Customer Services/Administrator Team leader for a large global IT company prior to that. I really enjoyed my role at WYP and was sad to leave some lovely people behind. I applied for this role as it felt like a very positive element of our community and a safe environment for our young people. I also wanted to work as part of a smaller team rather than the large Corporate companies I’ve work for in the past. It’s very different to anything I have done before and I hope it will be satisfying has well as enjoyable and rewarding. I am really happy to be working with such a committed team of people and of course all the young people who attend the Horbury Breakthrough Project. I love working as part of team and I am always happy to help out.
Now for a little about me – I have lived in Horbury for over 20 years, it’s a beautiful little village with lots of community spirit, some of you may already know me. I love travelling especially to Greece, Rhodes and Skiathos being some of my favourite places. I enjoy cooking and baking, I have lots of cook books and I’m always trying out new recipes. My latest project is my little garden, gardening is new to me but I’m learning as I go along. I also have 2 dogs which my husband and I frequently take on long walks down the canal and round Carr Lodge Park.
